Sell Items Individually or in Bulk

When you sell lots of items on eBay, it's usually better to sell them indivisually than in bulk.

People do not prefer spending a lot of money all at once. The total bids on items in bulk can be lower than sum of bids on individual items.

Also, even if you don't have many feedbacks, people may risk certainly amount of money to buy from you. (To customers, you are possible fraud.)

Besides, more importantly, you can make money out of each shipping.

How to Find an Article

There are three ways to find an article faster in this blog.

  1. Labels: Different from other blogs, one article has "strickly one label" in here. So, you don't have to waste your click and you can find an article more easily in a catergory.

  2. Search Engine: The search engine below the label is for this blog only.

  3. Archives: On the bottom of this blog, there's monthly archive. We placed this on the bottom intentionally since the complete titles are interrupted if we put this on the side. Also, we made old articles first since it's always new article first in main posting, label and even search engine.

Technorati Vs Digg

Recently, we registered our blog at Technorati and Digg. Those are huge blog communities and sort of Google or Yahoo for Blogs. So far I didn't really like Technorati that much.

In case of Technorati, first of all, the site name is very long. And, the site look very much for old people interested in politics. The front page is covered by political contents all over.

Also, the site is very slow for no reason and gaming is very little portion of entire topics.

In case of Digg, first, the site name is short. The site looks simple, but decent and it runs fast. And, technology and gaming are one third of entire topics. Also, I can choose gaming only and turn off the rest of topics.

I think we may stick to Digg from now on. Let us know if you know any better site.

Famous But Stupid Blogs

Recently, I visited some famous blogs in Korea.

In my opinion, there are a couple of things you must do when your blog gains popularity.

First, You have to put advertisements on your blog including AdSense and change the domain name to shorter one.

Surprisingly, none of those blogs did those things.

http://kr.blog.yahoo.com/igundown/
http://leegy.egloos.com/
http://kr.blog.yahoo.com/funnyblog

I like the contents, but simply I cannot go back to those unless I go through Yahoo.

Also, I bumped into some nice blogs in blogspot days ago, but those are impossible to find even through google for too many vague results. I remember it was regarding movie, but there are too many movie blogs.
Even if your blog is not very popular now, it may not be bad idea to keep some ads early on the blog and have shorter domain name. We made $21 from AdSense already.

Blog certainly carries commercial possibility and you cannot change all those track back address later.

One Important Tip on Small Business

If you own or manage one small business virtually on your own, it's very important to live near from your work.

Nowadays, economy is slow and minimum wage has been up. So, many small business owners manage the business on their own.

Personally, I also manage my store virtually on my own except my fiance works here 1-2 days a week. And, I live just 0.5 miles from my work.

When I moved into this new Apt last summer, I thought that I can go to my work by walk sometimes. But, you know what? That has never happened. For some reasons, I have been always short of time and rushed to my work by car even for that distance.

When your business is in good shape, you will see the work never ends. There are always something coming up. Your job won't be completed forever.

After living near, I also saved a lot of energy. Now I don't have to worrry how I can drive back in snowstorm. Also, you can use a lot of small spare times to improve your work especially during weekend.

The Best Sales Skill

Today, I was in a business forum and someone mentioned the best sales skills.

To me, the best sales skill is to have an item customers are desperately looking for. If you have that item and no one else has it, customers will find you even without advertisement.

Certainly, you should be kind and polite as a sales person. But, here is the point.

I know many business owners spend lots of money and energy on advertisement.

But, I can say that the advertisement is an activity to try to sell something people don't really need.

Lately, I've got many visitors from phone companies, credit cards and security companies. They all asked me to change my service to them. If it's that much saturated, I don't think they should be in that business.

I've seen many people work to death, but still be in difficulty just because they chose wrong items. Whenever I go to one Korean forum, I can see all they talk about is restaurants. Only few talk about Ebay, PS3 or google Adsense. Restaurant has such a long history and it's hard to beat your father or grandfather in the same field.

I think timely updated information is the most crucial for business owners and the key to business success.

Amazon & Gamefly

Recently, we've got some ads from Amazon and Gamefly. To me, those companies have some advantages and disadvantages on their own in game shopping.

In case of Amazon, it has a lot of "temporary" price drops. Price drop amount is impressive and items are top sellers occasionally. And, there would be no tax unless you live in WA and shipping is also free if you order over $25.

But, this drop is very temporary like few hours to few days at most.

Unlimited Video Game Rentals - Start Now!

In case of Gamefly, two disc option may be ideal if you keep beating a game, never coming back to that and go for another one.

Most of customers play certain games for a long time. People play Call of Duty or Madden for few months. But, some customers really trade in those in a week and go for another one.

In that case, game fly may make sense for unlimited rental for reasonable fee. For two disc option, you can play a game while you change the other one.

Lesson From Japanese

When I was searching for world most expensive retail rent months ago, I was actually surprised that how Japanese rent is low.

General living cost in Japan is up to several times higher than that in Korea. But, the rent in Ginza, the most expensive street in Japan, was the same as in Myungdong, Korea and actually few times lower than that on 5th ave in Manhattan, NY.

This is surprising since Japan is small and crowded country. Real estate has more value.

And, here's my theory for this.

The reason why rent in certain location is expensive is that business is depending on the location. More precisely, a business may be depending on the crowd the location brings.

Then, what would be the reason if a business depends mainly on a good location? That's because the items they are selling is not that great, special or unique.

Let's say that the business is Starbucks coffee shop. Starbucks or coffee shops are everywhere and the coffee they make is not that special. Then, they have to depend only on good location for more customers or profit.

In other words, if your item is very good, unique or special, people will come to you wherever you are.

And, if most of business are not depending on the location this way, location doesn't have to be expensive.

In Japan, a lot of business are focusing on one good item. A lot of retsaurant even have only one menu which is the best in the world.

I've noticed that some people already came to CybKnight even from Chicago to look for certain unique items like gamecube power cord or guncon. I think that's the way CybKnight should go.

New Rule for Adsense

I didn't know clicking my own Ad even for once is strictly prohibited. Sometimes, I want know what's in there, though.

The photo is the bestseller at CybKnight for last 2.5 years: World of Warcraft 60 Days Game Card. It's very addicting game.

How To Promote Blogs

In my opinion, the easiest way could be using google keywords in your title of posting. When people type those, your result can come out in google.

The photo is some educational software for DS. I think study doesn't have to be boring.

Custome Domain on Blogspot

As we said, we recently change our blogspot domain to http://cybfun.com/.

After changing it, I noticed that our results on google has been slower and the number of visitors has been dropped in half. So, we changed it back to blogspot domain again yesterday.

But, when I checked lots of articles, it seems it's just temporary problem. Now it seems everything has been back to normal. Also, it seems having custome domain is way better if you will blog for long or use it commercially. Naturally people can remember it better.

And, here's the strange part.

We originally registered this http://cybfun.com/ at Yahoo! Smallbusiness. And, the DNS of this domain is registered in yahoo service, so I cannot use it for this blogspot. Yahoo prevents it. And, I can only add google DNS as a part, but changing it totally is not possible.

All I did was I add google in DNS and made http://www.cybfun.com/ as a sub-domain. They recognize it differently.

But, the problem is whenever I type http://cybfun.com/ , it goes blank. Besides, I cannot forward this to http://www.cybfun.com/ since it's almost the same.

So, here's what I did in forwarding.

http://cybfun.com/ -> http://cybknight.blogspot.com/ -> http://www.cybfun.com/

Custome domain is just $10 per year, so you may consider it. Also, I wonder if there's any advantage if you stick to blogspot domain.

Prejudice

I think that a lot of people have prejudice that business is borning.

That's simply not true.

And, if you are not interested in business and feel bored, you are less likely to make money out of business. And, as a result, you are less likely to be rich on you own.

It doesn't matter if you make money or not right now. Once you start enjoying it, money will follow naturally.

Email or Telephone Marketing

I am generally very negative about those since I believe spending money happens not by recommendation, but by self will.

Let's suppose that you decided to have a credit card this morning. Will you have it from someone just because he called you? That's never going to happen.

I hope those marketers wouldn't waste time any more.

In our business, we have to have what customers would like to go for in advance as much as we can. That's only way to survive and recommendation or suggestion will never be going to work out.

Indirect Competitors

The best thing I did when we were looking for retail location was choosing the location right next to huge Internet cafe.

The people from the cafe have been great customers for us and we have been great supplier for them.

In previous article, I mentioned something about indirect competitors.

To us, direct competitor would be another gameshop like Gamestops. It's not necessarily good idea to open a store near from them.

But, indirect competitors are similar business in the same business catergory. To us, internet cafe, computer store, electronic shop, video or dvd rental store, movie theater, game arcade or bowling alley would be indirect competitors. They can bring customers to your store while they are in their business.

Also, indirect competitors themself can be your customers. When a lot of indirect cometitors gather, the plaza can be a great entertainment community.

Characters of Famous Blogs

Recently, I've visited some famouns blogs like http://boingboing.net/ and http://perezhilton.com/ . And, those are characters I found.

1. They update blogs daily. (Actually, few times per day)
2. They don't write a lot.
3. They stick to virtually one subject.

I am not sure who's going to be interested in game sales, but this must be in niche area. I don't see any blog regarding that.

Internet Domain Names

When you decide your domain name of your site, here's a couple of absolute rules:

1. Shorter is Better
2. "A" is Better

Today, we would like to introduce two sites belonging to CybKnight:

1. http://CybFun.com/ (This Blog)
2. http://CybBuy.com/ (Our Sales)

I notice that some people, especially Americans, go for very long domain names. But, people simply don't want to type that much and there are non English speakers everywhere.

Also, if your domain name starts with "A" like Amazon, you can certainly have priority in any listing.
A good domain name is like a good location in offline retails. The difference is there is no rent difference like retails in domain registration. It's really matter of who's grabbing it first, but the fee of every domain is the same.

And, here's fun part. A lot of good domains has been disappearing, but those are becoming available now. Many people just get the domains only, but they didn't use them. So, they find it's pointless to pay domain fees every year, so they are cancelling them now. "CybFun" also has been owned once and cancelled.

I believe lots of good domains are still available if you check carefully.

How to Choose Good Games

There is no guessing in this business.

When you are in game business, we have to know exactly which game is excellent, good or bad to order exact amount. Virtually hundreds of games are releasing every week, but CybKnight don't even order 70% of them. And, we have to focus on top sellers only.

If you make a mistake at this point, the wrong game won't be sold forever and will be loss for you. Even if it sells, that's not good for customers. We would like to suggest some helpful tips to choose a good game.

1. Gamespot Review Score

Gamespot is one of the biggest game review site. The most important score is critic score average. Little big planet has 9.5 out of 10 on 68 reviews. This game is considered in "must have" category.

2. Amazon Sales Ranking

Some games are sold very well regardless of scores. Sometimes, that's caused by the character of the game.

For example, the game like "Call of duty 5" got around 8.5/10, but it sells way more than other games since it's multiplayer game. Game like "Assassin's Creed" had 9/10 average, but it was just sold less than half of "Call of Duty 4" last year since it's single player game.

There are about 85,000 selling game titles on the market. Little Big planet is 44th ranked. If the game is ranked within 500th, I can say that it's popular.

Besides those, you can watch G4 TV cable channel, reading magazines or listening to customers. But, gamestop review scores and Amazon sales ranking are the most important sources and those are like NASDAQ or Dow index to stock brokers.

Quitting Gaming

A lot of customers have asked if I play any game or wondered why our blog doesn't have much contents of games.

It's sad, but in my opinion, the first thing you have to do before opening game shop is quitting gaming. I am not sure if it's good comparison, but sometimes bar owners need to quit drinking before opening bars.

In Korea, Internet cafe is very popular and there's huge community of cafe owners. I was surprised that those owners said exactly the same thing. But, as you know, we played and enjoyed games once before we got involved in this business. In my case, I have naturally stopped gaming after focusing on this business.

Ironically, we are studying games more than ever by checking review scores and sales ranking nowadays. Maybe we can provide different types of information regarding games as time goes on.

I guess I love CybKnight more than games now.

Promote Blog

Cyb Knight created this blog in Aug, 2008. After that, we didn't really care.

But, after checking our AdSense balance lately, we changed our mind a little. We decided to promote it.

Here's the reasons why we need to promote this blog.

  • In sense of income, the income from blog is totally different than that from games. In games, we have spent a lot of money for inventories. In blog, it doesn't cost anything. It just need your time, brain and writing skill. It could be better income model if you can make it.

  • Blog has advertising effects if you own any business. You can simply put your site on the blog. I know a lot of business owners spend tons of money for ad. If you can advertise for free, why shouldn't you?

  • Even if you stop writing blogs later, the contents are still there. Still, people will find your article at google, visit your blog and click the AdSense. It could be automatic income generating asset Rich Dad talks about.

I recommend this blog and AdSense to everyone. I wonder if there's any other reason for blogging.

AdSense with Game Business

I believe the advantage of this google blogspot is the article of this blog comes on google pretty fast.

When I watched the previous videos regarding adsense, she recommend 2 things to make money with google adsense.
  • Have enough contents in your blog, so many people can find your blog in google by diverse key words.
  • Focus on one topic. Especially focus on one topic not many people deal and write a lot about it. Your ranking regarding that interest will go high in google and many people will visit. Most likely people will click the relevant ads.

As many of you know, we can write our interests in our blog profile and if you click it, other blogs with the same interest come out.

When I clicked games, 31,000 results came out. When I clicked business, 14,000 results came out. But, when I clicked "game business" or "game sales", only one result came out so far. That was me.

I believe game business is niche area. A lot of people like games and games are growing industry, but not a lot of people are talking about it.

I think we will develop this blog as game business blogs and will cover everything in that area.

How to Prevent Shoplift

First thing you have to do is actually calling the police and prosecute the person. Reputation moves very fast.

This morning, we caught one nine year old boy shoplifting and had to call police. The police filed the report and held him. It's been a while this thing happened. Some people may think this is too much, but it's not.

I remember that we had shoplifters almost every week when we just opened our shop. This Schaumburg is relatively safe suburb community. But, people are coming from everywhere. Now the number has been dramatically decreased after prosecuting them.

Here's some procedures we recommend.

1. If you find shoplift, ask politely. "Sir, Do you want that in the bag?"
2. Regardless the person cooperate or not, you need to prosecute the person. Ask Politely.
"Sir, since you did something wrong, we have to call the police. If you cooperate, we won't press charge on you."
3. Have one digital camera ready under the desk all the time. Take the photo of the person.
4. If the person stay, call the police and file the report.
5. If the person run to parket lot, follow the person and take the photo of car. Focus on license plate. Just in case, memorize the plate number and write on paper one more time after coming back to desk.
6. Call the police and file the report. Support them with face photo and license plate.

Remember. You have to call the police and prosecute the person. Reputation moves very fast between criminals.

A Day Off A Week

I feel way better after taking Sunday off yesterday.

When you manage a gameshop virtually on your own, you need to work at least 12 hrs a day and 6 days a week.

You can take Sunday off more comfortably if you have any supplement income like Ebay or Half.com. They will work for you. But, a lot of business owners open even on Sunday themself not to lose any customers.

Personally, I strongly suggest to take at least one day off in a week in any business. It's regardless whether there is employee or supplement income: Complete shutdown of business one day a week. I know a lot of business are struggling nowadays, so it's difficult. But, here's some important reasons for this suggestion.

  • Taking a day off doesn't necessarily mean you are not working. You need to improve your business rather than just work. If you clean or repaint your store, that would be physical improvement. But, more importantly, you need to improve your store by new ideas. And, new ideas are usually acquired when you do not work physically and have good time to think. When you take a day off, I recommend you to visit other successful business in your field nearby and borrow some good ideas from them. Make sure physically resting day is mental improvement day.

  • If you work without rest, you can lower current quality of your business.

  • Some people may believe that opening long hours can get you more customers, but that's usually wrong. Sometimes, that's true in a business totally depening on high traffic only. But, mostly, stores can get the same amount of customers regardless they open for seven days or not. For example, CybKnight is usually more busy on Sat and Mon since we are closed on Sun. It's more likely Sun cutomers come either Sat, Mon or the rest of days. What matters is the quality of the business attracting people.

Months ago, I've seen a news that Oprah couldn't get in one famous shop in Paris because she was late for 15 min. If you look carefully, the more the business is successful, actual opening hour is shorter. I believe workers spend more time to upgrade its quality.

How to Make Money with AdSense

Honestly, CybKnight was very negative about personal web site like myspace although we were involved in Ebay six years ago.

Still, I believe MySpace is very low quality, useless web site. But, blog is different. Depending on how you manage, it can have huge commercial value.

In some sense, it was our mistake to disregard blog so far and forcus only on Ebay and Half.com.I think we will promote this site as game, game business and general business tip site.

Game Business is sort of Graphic Software Business. And, Software Industry will be the biggest industry in 21st centry. And, game will be the most popular among them.

In second video, she keeps mentioning niche field. There are lots of entrepreneurs, but only few of them are very serious about games.

Think about it. When is the last time you've seen independent gameshop except gamestop franchise? Cybknight has been grown regardless of recession. We've made it recession proof in spite of lower rent location.

According to her videos, it seems to be honest with yourself is first step of blogging. She keeps saying to find what you are really passionate about. That's exactly the same when you start a business.

Game Business

The Reasons why I chose Game Business
  • I loved and enjoyed games
  • People love games.
  • Games are easy to deal online like ebay or half.com.
  • Games are light, thin and small.
  • Game are not perishable.
  • Game prices are stable.
  • Games are easy to recycle and refurbish.
  • Games are recession proof industry.
  • New Game systems produce new, bigger blue ocean markets.
  • 360, PS3 and Wii are the fastest growing market.
  • Games are less competitive.
  • In used games, Gamestops are only competitors.
  • Game has a lot of niche markets. Classic games are example.
  • Game can make stupid people smarter.
  • Most of all, you can make people happy by providing them joy.

Entrepreneur

Entrepreneur Magazine has been arrived!

It seems Green, Organic and Environmental friendly are major concepts in 2009: Organic foods, Organic cosmetics, Hybrid cars and Recycled items etc.

The Greenbox is about a kind of software checking energy bill. The article was not very impressive at all and I feel it's two page advertisement for the software package.

Those two photos are the used game lists CybKnight has dealt last 2.5 years.

CybKnight is also green business to refurbish used games.

Penguines

I wonder how Penguines can survive. There is a game called "Lost Planet: Condition 0", though.

New York Vs Chicago

New York is the most populated city in the US and it has around 15 million population including surroundings. Chicago is third most populated city and it has around 10 million populations in Chicagoland. (Second is Los Angeles, CA.)

By the time, I graduated from State of University at New York-Buffalo three yeasr ago, I had two choices: New York or Chicago?
I liked the city, Buffalo, NY and the school for low tuition. But, when I graduate, I was eager to move out for a couple of reasons.
  • Buffalo, NY is small city with less than 1 million population. I am originally from big city, Seoul, Korea and always felt suffocated there.
  • Buffalo is second fastest decaying city in the U.S. according to Forbes. There were not a lot of hope for job or business opportunity.

Buffalo is around $400 miles from NYC and 500 miles from Chicago. It was more likely mid point. By the time of graduaion, I was already got involved in Ebay sales. People from Buffalo, NY usually go to NYC for jobs since it's familiar and in the same state. But, I knew someone in Champaign, IL, so Chicago was also consideration.

I chose Chicago at that time and built business in few months. And, it has been better and better for last three years now. Both are big cities, but I believe my choice of Chicago was right. I must confess that one big reason was my girlfriend studied near Chicago. But, I hope this article would be helpful for young people looking for jobs in a big city.

New York Vs Chicago: Why Chicago is Better to Start a Business than NYC
  • Living and Startup Cost is Much Lower.

NYC is officially the most expensive city in the U.S. And, also it's 2nd or 3rd most expensive city in the world.

On the contrary, Chicago has one of cheapst living cost among big cities. I believe that's because it's far from East coast and located in mid America region.

When I was student, I visited NYC and Chicago many times. Whenever I was in Chicago, I could find $35-40 Motel 6 easily in north and west side of Chicago. (http://motel6.com/ )

But, in New York, most of hotels are over $200 per night in Manhattan. Even Motel 8 is over $250. I used Hostel before and it was still over $40 per dorm bed although several people are in the same room.

If you can go to Queens or Brooklyn in NYC, it's a little cheaper, but you have to go through all those tunnels and bridges for expensive tolls. If it goes under $100 in any area, the quality becomes extremely bad although perfectly clean red roof inn is $45 in Chicago.

Also, in case of tolls of highway, most of highway in Chicago is free and it's $0.85-1.00 for toll in exceptional case. But, in NYC, you have to pay something if you go to another island and it's $4-8 fee minimum. Once, me and my girlfriend lost a way and we end up paying $18 highway toll. (Do not follow their road sign. You will end up paying more.)

In case of parking, it's as low as $2 even in garage for whole day in Chicago city. There is no specific parking fee in Chicago suburb for sure. But, in New york, it's $25-30 parking at a garage for either whole day or whole night. Area other than Manhattan is not much different. For no reason I understand, even parking violation ticket is twice more expensive in New York than Chicago.

Simply, if you stay in NYC, you can have more chances to lose a chunk of money suddenly.

And, those points are true for starting business, too.

For instance, when I checked loopnet.com for commercial rent, a lot of NYC store rents were over $40-200 rental rate range depending on island although locations and building facilities wasn't necessarily great.

That's up to five times more expensive in decent locations in Chicago. That's 4-20 times more expensive in Cyb Knight strip mall location. We are located in reasonably good strip mall. But, location will be less and less important since a lot of companies go online nowadays.

A Taste of Korean Culture

What Am I Doing Wrong?

I just found this article in a humor site. This was actual post.

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, Im tired of beating around the bush.
I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl.
I'm articulate and classy. Im not from New York .
Im looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year.

I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City , so I dont think Im overreaching at all. Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200 - 250.

But thats where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 wont get me to central park west.

I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and shes not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?

I wouldnt be searching for these kind of guys if I wasnt able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a nice home and hearth.

THE RESPONSE PostingID: 432279810 Dear Pers-431649184:

I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament.

Firstly, Im not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said heres how I see it.

Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a cr@ppy business deal. Heres why.

Cutting through all the B.S., what you suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring my money. Fine, simple.

But heres the rub, your looks will fade and my money will likely continue into perpetuity.

In fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you wont be getting any more beautiful! So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation accelerates!

It doesnt make good business sense to buy you (which is what youre asking) so Id rather lease. In case you think Im being cruel, I would say the following.

If my money were to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. Its as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.

Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So, I wonder why a girl as articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy.

I hope this is helpful, and if you want to enter into some sort of lease, let me know.

No Haggle for Store Credit

Recently, CybKnight had to let three customers out for their excessive behaviors for haggle for store credits. All brought used games or guide books.

Surprisingly, one happened few months ago, but the other two happened last week and this week.

This may be coincidence, but we notice two customers were Polish and one was Indian. I believe they may have such haggle culture in their countires.

I am a Korean myself and this is something I don't understand.

First of all, to me, using my old items for store credit is good enough already.

How many place in the world accept your used items for credit and you can buy new items by that?

No matter how Walmart is cheap, they wouldn't accept your used item for $0.01 store credit. McDonald woudn't accept your old food and get you discount for new food. 99% of stores tried to sell you something, but they wouldn't accept anything from you for store credit.

Second, according to my six years experience, our store credit should be more than good enough.
We suggested $50 store credit for Left 4 Dead (Retail for $58 on 1/9/2009) to one customer today.

Usually it's up to $35-40, but he has been good customer and bought it just 2 days ago. And, that's best we could do since we still have to sell it as "used game" in mint condition, not brand new.

We generally suggest up to $35-40 store credit for any used top seller for PS3 and 360.
(Retail $58 in CybKnight, $60 anywhere else)

We generally suggest up to $25-35 for Wii top seller. (Retail for Brand New $48)

Occasionally, our store credits goes more than twice of that of Gamestop.

Isn't it more than good enough??

Generally, we accept a lot of items gamestop do not accept just to help customers. Dvd, game guides, PC Games and vintage games are good examples.

Now, all the developed countries have something called competition. More likely, it's open competition in digitally informative world. Most likely, prices has been lowered already for the result of competiton even before you can see.

If you need a game and would like to use your old games for possible biggest store credit, let us know. You can at least ask our credit value.

We truly appreciate your business.

Trade In Policy for Store Credit

Cyb Knight found a couple of very unusual visitors today.

One customer brought a bunch of game guide books. We know that game guide is not selling very well in any store. And, that's why a lot of stores do not accept that. But, we decided to accept it to help the customer.

After we suggested the trade-in value, we found the customer asked more and more. We found he cross the line. So, we had to let the customer out without any trade in.

Another customer mentioned gamestop credits. He brought mostly old sports games and mentioned it was $40 value in gamestops. In our opinion, it cannot be. It could be mistake, but we know he hasn't been always very generous on deal.

We know most of customers are great, but we would like to set up some rules for those unusual people today.

Honestly, so far cybknight's policy was to serve and satisfy customers regardless of margin, profit or money.

Here's some important rules.

1. Please do not ask us cut the sales tax for the item especially when you pay by trade-in. You are not above IRS.

Honestly, paying purchase by some used items you don't need is great idea. I will be pleased as a customer by not spending money at all. That happened to a lot of customers in our store. I will be happy if store credit is more than other store. But, it seems that's not enough for some people.

We cover the tax for the item for customers in rare occasions. That doesn't mean we do not pay. We do pay the tax for the customer for certain reasons.

2. Please do not make mistake or lie about the store credit especially of Gamestop.

You are welcome to compare those. Most of store credits in gamestop are available and we do have solid information.

CybKnight do not have cash option for trade in, but according to our experience, we know generally our store credits are either close to or more than twice of that of gamestop.

(We do not intend that, but mostly it turn out that way.)

If we find any suspicion regarding this matter, customer will lose privilage to enter CybKnight. You will end up losing more money unless you quit gaming today.

3. Please do not push us for more games for a given store credit.

Trust that we are doing our best and you are welcome to compare those values. But, please do not push for more items for given credits by your own decision.

Just let you know our main policy is to help customers regardless of money.

We promise that we will serve you to make your life much easier and better.
